What we collect, why, and how it's used.

PawAlert is a solo-run project based in Slovenia. If you have any questions about this policy or your data, you can reach us through our Contact page.
When you buy something in the Shop: your name, email, shipping address, and payment details are collected directly by Stripe, our payment processor. We never see or store your full card details ourselves — Stripe handles that securely. We do receive your name, email, and shipping address so we can fulfill your order.
When your order is fulfilled: we share your name and shipping address with Printful, who print and ship your order directly to you. Printful processes this data as our fulfillment partner.
Your shopping cart: items you add to your cart are stored only in your own browser (using a technology called localStorage), not on our servers. If you clear your browser data, your cart empties too. We don't see or store what's in your cart until you actually complete a purchase.
When you contact us or share a story: our contact form opens your own email app with your message pre-filled — it's sent directly from you to us via email, not stored in any database on our end.
Ads on this website: our website (not the Paw Alert app) shows ads from Google AdSense. Google and its partners may use cookies to show ads and measure them, including personalised ads if you agree to them in the cookie notice. You can change your choice at any time in the cookie notice or at Google Ad Settings. The Paw Alert app has no ads.
To run PawAlert's shop, we rely on a small number of outside services, each of which processes some of your data as described above:
Each of these companies has its own privacy policy governing how they handle data on their end.
We don't maintain our own customer database. Order and payment records are retained by Stripe and Printful according to their own retention policies (often required for tax, accounting, or fraud-prevention purposes).
You can ask us what data we hold about you, request corrections, or ask us to delete information where possible. Since most of your order data is held by Stripe and Printful rather than us directly, some requests may need to go to them as well. Reach out via our Contact page and we'll help however we can.
PawAlert's shop and contact form are not directed at children, and we don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.
If how we handle data changes — for example, if we add analytics or a newsletter — we'll update this page and change the "last updated" date above.
